Start OpenOffice Base

Now, start OpenOffice Base.

Select “Connect to an existing database” and choose “MySQL” from the drop-down list as shown above. Click Next >>

Select “Connect using JDBC” and click Next >>

Enter the name of the jlicensure database and your database server's host name or IP address as shown in the screenshot. Click Next >>.

Enter the user name. If you haven't configured a new user and a password for the jlicensure database, you might use the username “root” here. Also tag the “ Password required” checkbox and click “Test Connection”.

Enter the database password and click OK. The connection should be established successfully.

Click OK. On the next screen, select only “Yes, register the database for me” and “Open the database for editing” and hit “Finish”.

OpenOffice now asks you to save the OpenOffice Base file containing the database configuration. Select a folder, enter a filename and click “Save”.
